I advise companies and their stakeholders on mergers and acquisitions, outside general counsel matters, governance, securities compliance, capital formation, venture financings, and commercial and technology contracts. I represent founders, management teams, investors, boards, and operating companies that need practical judgment, efficient execution, and advice grounded in business reality.
Before joining Sparks Willson, I served as Chief Legal Officer of Solid Power (Nasdaq: SLDP), where I was a member of the executive team and advised on transactions, governance, disclosure, compliance, and the business decisions that come with operating a public company. I bring that combination of large-firm, in-house, and public-company experience to client work, with a direct and commercial approach shaped by how legal decisions affect business operations.
Earlier in my career, I practiced corporate and securities law at firms in Denver, including Polsinelli. Before entering private practice, I served for nine years in the U.S. Air Force as an airborne linguist, flying reconnaissance missions in Latin America, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
My wife and I moved to Colorado Springs in 2025 to be closer to family and the mountains. When I’m not working, I’m usually on a golf course, on a trail, or tending to my grills.
